It is a really old method of transfering text between Word Processors. The benefits that it gives in Reporting far outweight the problems, IMHO.

That's always great, until you get "That's fantastic, it does all I asked you to do and more....... but could you.........." I had a Head the other day, asked him exactly what do you want? Gave it him, "Great but......" This happened 3 times.

I think it is a problem with the very nature of the RTF format.

This is for Landscape/Portrait but may well work for you: Please follow the below steps; 1. Go to Reports | Design Report and select 'New' option 2. Select Report base in the 'Select Data Area'. Click Next. 3. Make the necessary selections and click on Next until the 'Define Presentations' option is reached. 4. Double Click on the 'Form Report (RTF)'. Then Click on the User Defined Template option, clicking 'Yes' to start with Blank Template. 5. A Blank Template will be opened in Word. Change the Page Setup of the Template to Lanscape/ A4. Add the required fields and format the Template as needed. Click on 'Save and Close' option. 6. Click on the 'SaveAs' button in the SIMS application. Give a name to the Report and click on Ok. 7. Close the Design Screen. A message box will appear to confirm the changes to the Report. Click on 'Yes' button. 8. Run the Report using the Reports-> Run Report option and select the report. If the above steps are followed then the user defined formats are retained. If the Template is edited - the settings are lost and the template would need to be set up from NEW again.

UPDATE: Car died on Friday, totally unrelated to the oil thing. What a waste of 5 ltrs of oil :-( Got a nice simple 106 (I think) to keep me going for a while.

My TomTom, not new, has MapShare, so is updated with new roads and new layouts regularly. It also flashes up graphics of the junctions to indicate the correct lane on motorways. It doesn't flash up SteetView like my Android though.

From life, the universe and everything. I'll chip a couple of hundred quid if someone could do that. Just imagine all those school documents and websites going blank.

Dipstick was a bit dry, the one in the engine that is. I did survive a truck trying to rearrange the panelling on the doors, luckily it is a turbo, so I could put my foot down and get in front of the pillock as he changed into my lane not giving a damn that it empty. He was about 6 inches from wiping me out.

£20??? I'd bite their arm off. It would save a lot of hassle I would charge a lot more than that as I haven't done it in years.
