Just bought a couple of Asus Expertbooks which are marketed for students but cannot get them to build successfully using Win PE as they have UFS storage I've just found out. clever marketing as i thought they had a NVME slot! So id steer clear of these unless you intend to build devices manually. There's a workaround bit you have to redo the .wim and insert some files/driver but only works with some versions of PE

Been having problems all morning again with it mostly telling me to "Try again" Anyone else?

It’s not usually possible to change the initials shown on the default profile picture, as they are based on the Display Name set on your Office/Microsoft 365 account. For example, if your name is John Smith then its JS but i have seen first initials be their title initial as in M for Mr but i think that's where you or admin etc. enter it when creating accounts. Personally, I think it’s useful for staff to have an actual profile photo, cartoon avatar, or similar. It makes accounts easier to recognise, and it helps confirm authenticity — especially because anyone spoofing an email address is unlikely to have the correct profile picture attached. A missing or incorrect photo can be an early warning sign. Combined with MFA, DMARC, and other security settings, having proper profile photos helps reduce phishing risks and strengthens overall security.

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals (Free)

I've been waiting on support as i couldn't register my domain to my school (previously registered by ex employee years ago) and after automatic emails and not being able to talk to anyone I've just given up as cant see a solution to explain my issues to a human. Shocking support for education. -
I ordered the wrong lead again and going to wait till i have the new PC now as it should work with newer UHD graphics as earlier post. I might buy the bi-directional lead soon and test again and if i do ill update this thread.

Can see a lot of schools affected this year as its an upward trend. Not sure what happened but I know a lot of schools find it hard or have the budget to give extra money to IT Support to help them to try and stop this becoming regular as with the new DFE regs, Cyber essentials etc. a lot of money is needed to comply to help combat attacks. As a lot of schools front end users don't see the benefit of updated switches, Internet redundancy, Cloud Back Up etc. and all that is needed behind the scenes to keep a school running and secure. I can see it will be hard for all schools to cover themselves when front line staff and teaching/learning etc. Isn't "seen" to benefit from the expenditure needed. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/local-news/nuneaton-school-closed-until-at-33176735

Great as that's what my set up will be once new PC arrives. I was just trying to get it setup beforehand on the lesser UHD 630 but this isn't going to work although exactly same 3 outputs on the motherboard as the UHD 770 and most literature saying they are all separate channels so should be possible.
-
Yes i can only do the first row so tried the below and still doesn't work. I imagine adaptors etc. are not native and wont work but what motherboard with the Intel UHD 630 Graphics has 2 DP outputs? probably none so a bit pointless truing top setup 3 extended monitors. PC to Monitor 1: DP-DP PC to Monitor 2: HDMI to DP - DP PC to Monitor 3: VGA-VGA

Downloaded the latest driver version for Intel UHD Graphics 630 Driver Date: 05/11/2025 and still the same issues. Can only get a combination of 2 external monitors displaying. i think the UHD Graphics 630 doesn't support 3 external monitors but only if you have a main display (laptop screen) and then 2 outputs on your laptop which is rare. I am waiting on a new PC with UHD 770 Graphics like yours and Ill update then to see if it works. I was just trying to get 3 monitors set up on the UHD 630 to test beforehand but don't think its possible.

Copilot Yes, Intel UHD Graphics 630 (integrated in 8th–10th Gen Intel CPUs like the i7‑10700) supports up to three independent monitors in extended mode, provided: ✅ Conditions: Motherboard outputs: You need three physical display connectors (e.g., HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA/DVI) on the motherboard. Driver support: Install the latest Intel Graphics driver. Resolution limits: HDMI: up to 4096×2160 @ 30 Hz DisplayPort: up to 4096×2304 @ 60 Hz VGA/DVI: lower resolutions (typically 1920×1080) Bandwidth: The iGPU can handle three displays simultaneously, but high resolutions may require at least one DisplayPort for smooth performance.

Mine is Intel® Core™ i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz (10th Generation Intel processor) with Intel UHD Graphics 630. Did update Graphics Driver from Windows just before as there was one available but might look tomorrow what the "proper" one from Intel should be. I usually use the Intel Display Driver Assistant to check which usually pulls the right one down.

Just checked and both Monitors running at 1920 x 1080 (recommended) I lowered them significantly to see if 3rd monitor would display but still the same issue. Hopefully the Lead/adaptor I'm buying will fix it.
-
Just read that and who would have thought that you couldn't have that Combo as its the 3 ports on the motherboard 🤷🏻♂️ I've ordered a HDMI to DP Adaptor so hopefully I can get a combination to work as below PC to Monitor 1: DP-DP PC to Monitor 2: HDMI to DP Adaptor - DP PC to Monitor 3: VGA-VGA

Not tried this but will

So I bought 3 monitors with 3 Inputs (HDMI-DP-VGA) ASUS VA27DQFS 27" Full HD IPS 100 Hz 1ms Height Adjustable Monitor with Speakers : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories Can only get a combination of 2 monitors extended and never a third, even Duplicate doesn't duplicate to 3. In Display settings their is always one monitor that doesn't "detect" and the image is smaller then the rest but it doesn't "identify" Also I checked the BIOS as pic attached and it was already enabled. An ASUS H510M-A Motherboard with a 10th Gen processor is supposed to support 3 monitors (Copilot told me) 🎯 Integrated Graphics Capability Intel’s integrated graphics (supported by 10th/11th Gen CPUs used on this board) can drive up to three independent displays simultaneously. [thomas-krenn.com], [community.intel.com] PC Details Stone - BOAMOT-507 Motherboard - ASUS H510M-A Processor – Intel® Core™ i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz (10th Generation Intel processor) Anyone had similar and fixed this issue or any advice welcome.

Cheers, going with this as only £95 each excl. VAT and they swivel too so could put one in portrait mode which may come in handy for viewing documents and positioned at the end which could save space too. Looking to purchase 3 of the same 27inch monitors for a 3 monitor set up on a pc, struggling to find any with all 3 inputs 27inch. Anyone recommend any if they have bought them? Copilot not helping as it lists the monitors which supposed to have 3 inputs but they don't when looking at the specs.

Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals (Free)

Without being able to install the Netsweeper agent the default filtering policy applied is "pupil" so the strictest. Monitoring will be crudely done by allocation and a booking spreadsheet with the same pupil using the same device as only going to be used by 15 users for around 3 online lessons a week with staff in the room. Hopefully i think my domain is now sorted and if so ill use my Google Workspace for Education (free) to push the Securus webstore App out to the devices so monitoring will be covered better. Only primary age children and devices are used for a specific website and support staff also in the room when they use them. -
Glad it all helped!! just goes to prove backups do come in handy 🤣 I remember only paying about £500 at the time for RM to do this just for the unfederation even though I had the tech article as was told if i done it myself and things went wrong they wouldn't support as I was cancelling all my RM Products/Services as had a lot on at the time work wise. In hindsight could have saved myself £500 but would never of thought that was a £5000 job 🤣

Think I'm leaning towards buying 1 device license and seeing what "extra" i can do with it and is it worth it compared to managing them as standalones for the next 2 years. -

Yeah from the research I've done this all sounds right. No edu licenses came with them just the devices and nothing else. I just don't want to spend anything really for the sake of 2 years use and they only really going to be used by a small group of students so probably end up being something simple I implement to just log whose using what etc. and when.
