We send out hundreds and thousands with no issues. Things like Parent Evenings reminders, Exam 'tomorrow' reminders, Unknown Absence twice per day etc etc Schoolcomms enables you to Email, Text or Ecard any group that you have in SIMS!

This is the standard costs of Schoolcomms (Click the pic!). Single User Licence. Multiuser Licence is usually double! A 3 year Licence works out cheaper too.

We have used Schoolcomms for a good number of years now. It's integration with SIMS is excellent! The links actually exist within your SIMS Database. Now how good is that? The original school bought the licences at a discounted price from the LA. The amount of discount I guess depends on which LA the school is attached to. I wonder if it would be a compromise to pay the difference between the two figures, for Academies that retain the same establishment number. There would have to be some sort of method of calculating the effect of inflation though! (Just a vague idea Phil! I know that the LA Licences prevent novation!)

If your Comment Bank is detailed enough then it can more than fulfill your needs in terms of 'Area of Improvement'. We do something similar and each department has their own comments for this section (as they do with all the other sections!). The reports are also tailored to each pupil as part of the QA by the teachers themselevs and also by the Profiles Reviewers!

Maybe you should try and pursuade others not to misinterpret my posts. It happens so often that I now believe it is a deliberate act. I am laughing because I objected to Scholarpack's sponsorship of this Forum. Therefore I would have to object to Capita sponsoring this Forum. Which is actually true - I would! Save everybody some work and give access to the Comment Bank to your HODs. You can still control them and remove their access after a specified cut off date!

And there is a direct link from SIMS via Focus, Assessment, Discover The Configuration (where you will run the transfers, setups etc from) is via Programs, SIMS Applications, Discover Configure. At least that is the FT version!

There are three levels of Support Training for SIMS Reporting - Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. I will let you guess in which one of these the functionality you want is dealt with.

Beware! Behaviour/Ach Conduct Reports are not working correctly. This is being addressed in the Spring Release of SIMS which will include a new Conduct Section in the Reporting dictionary as well as a new Aggregated Points Repdef. The data delivered via Preview in Design may be correct but the actual report may deliver the wrong data!

I bet your SMT don't use Edugeek! So you should be safe! I highly recommend two monitors for Discover! Drop your graphs on one screen and create your Venn on the second. Magic! However, you can use it on a single monitor and future releases are hoping to address issues such as zooming the graphs and clicking to grid.
