We use Easytrace and it works very well and their supprt is good as well.. We use Parentpay for online paying and it also works well.... Parents that do not have Internat AAccess can apply for a Pay Point Card and they can then top up at the corner shop.. What you have to look at with a cashless System is does it speak to SIMS / CMIS etc and Easytrace does...

OK... say you had to build an entire site from scratch..... What would you use ? Cat 5e Cat6 to the workstations..? what fibre to the comms cabinets ? What Servers? SAN or NAS what size ? What wireless management system Cisco, HP ?

No it's not as Active studio is a single program to use on a Promethean white board like Word is to write documents... CC3/4 is an entire front end that hides the real workings of Server 2003 and the rest... I have used and know CC3 and the first thing I did was when become IT Manger was cancel all RM support Contracts and cancel the horrendous cost of CC3 And If I'm not mistaken IT Management roles in Schools are dying out because of the BSF killing in-house ICT Support Show me ANY job in the Business sector where CC3/4 is required... nowhere... Show me AD, Exchange, SQL, Vanilla, Server 2003/2008 WSUS Ghost etc and it's everywhere.. Our School has ICT in Every single Classroom and 13 ICT Suites and 4 sub 15 PC suites in Large classrooms.. I would say ICT is everywhere ... And I support papakura in their concerns...
