  1. Would certainly be interested in hearing how you've automated Gmail signatures.
  2. Would be interested if you got anywhere with this! Currently stuck with this issue at the moment.
  3. A few years later but can confirm that this method of installation works perfectly. Thank you! I did have an initial struggle trying to output the file to a network share but switched to the local drive and it outputs as expected.
  4. Thanks both, we have a pretty solid backup system so will give it a go cloning the VM and upgrading. Fingers crossed!
  5. Hi all, Our Cunninghams is currently running on 2012 R2 (this should've been upgraded by our previous MSP in a previous project but that's a different story). Do any of you have any experiences performing an in-place upgrade on your cashless catering servers? Good or bad feedback welcomed. Cunninghams want £1300 to do this work after we've already paid them £1k to migrate our connection to Arbor, which only resulted in a few hours work, hence why I'm reluctant to go down this route straight away. Thanks!
  6. Our setup has an admin account for each technician in whatever format you prefer the most e.g. adminjd, ITJD or JDA which has Local Administrator on client PC's. Specific permissions for passwords, etc. are then divided up into groups for "User Administrator" "Student Administrator" instead of giving all admins Domain Admin. We also re-use these groups for the select computing teachers who have the ability to reset student passwords. It depends how far you want to dig into it, although I'd definitely recommend separating the accounts. Your normal account should have no admin access and behave as if you were any other member of staff (as frustrating as it can be).
  7. We use M365, however there is a good article about restricting senders.https://support.google.com/a/answer/2640542?hl=en Assuming you have a group with all staff. Thanks
  8. We seem to have the same issue. Would be nice to know if you get it working!
  9. Looks interesting. Something we are looking to implement but are worried who will even read it when its easier to catch us when walking around.
  10. Seems to look like rebuilding might be the better option.
  11. We went from 2012 to 2022 no problems, for SIMS, just an in-place upgrade.
  12. Nothing special, an old Lenovo Mini PC running Linux and some UniFi switching for my PoE APs
