Wolfenstein 2 is a fantastic game for £7.49 - well worth it.

Teaching app development in computer science?
synaesthesia replied to supportman's topic in How do you do....it?
No it's not - a perfectly good example, all software requests should come through IT first to ensure compatibility, feasibility, security etc. -
So far everything above going on about MyQ seems to be like they've never actually seen or used Papercut. They'd have to work VERY hard to beat papercut for sure, and 80 device deployments in 12 hours isn't a positive selling point - that's an hour's work by anyone elses standards!

And they may well have done, but perhaps shouldn't have done so without the IT team's prior support and involvement. "We've bought this software, it only works on Macs, so we expect a suite of Macs to suddenly appear". It doesn't and shouldn't work like that. -
Wave9 all the way for us, they've been faultless with their service delivery and customer service. Haven't been as happy with our provision for many years.

Dunno, dark as it may be, but it might suit the humour quite well - maybe Egon is the villain ghost!

What last film? And yeah, does look good - premise certainly looks interesting and may offer a very different approach to the last city-based films.

You could have the worst product in the world, but as long as you have Ryan heading up your advertising scheme, you'll make a fortune The guy just sells himself. Still, looking forward to this

It was being talked about being "not far off" when I worked for them in 2010. There have been enough pinches of salt taken with everything they say to grit the entire road network this winter...

No such thing - ultimately the toughest stuff out there will have keys prized off and snapped. Classroom control, careful monitoring.

Yeah it's legit. Seemed all absolutely fine until method 3 of collecting data; I hope there's more to it than just introducing themselves as that!

Yup, Airpods definitely are pointless

Shouldn't be, can automate that from a SIMS report really easily! We got used to it as our Moodle (also used to be looked after by Overnet) needed it for something.
-
Definitely - we're 1200 students in a split-site school (and growing daily) with a similar cost. Compared to adding up everything like SIMS teacher apps, parentcall or other school/home comms, Show my homework etc it saves a lot of money. The SIMS stuff in our opinion is better than any of Capita's own offerings - the homework module we prefer to SMH. Parents evening booking system isn't perfect compared to some of the specialist versions but I say that now being fully aware they may have already updated and fixed things Our last parents evening went extremely smoothly with it.

It is too good, but it is true. We love it, have used it for ages now and wouldn't look elsewhere. Support is second to none and they do listen to feature requests and many have been implemented within an extremely quick timeframe. Couldn't recommend them highly enough, intuitive to the point where we've done very little in the way of training for staff, students or documentation for parents because it just works. We use it heavily for homework, behaviour, attendance, parents evening and mobile use, and are looking at other parts to replace things like concern reporting (in place of MyConcern). When these modules/upgrades get added, they just occur, we get notified, all parts can be enabled/disabled as needed and there has never been any extra cost.

Should we be expecting a new version of Windows anytime soon?
synaesthesia replied to Phxantom16's topic in Windows
Windows 10 is supposed to be the "last" version of Windows, i.e. moving to service based and it will remain updated rather than superceded. -
You'll be able to pick up second hand ones from ebay easily enough if that's possible, otherwise you'd spend a fair bit more getting anything new (not sure juniper still even support them). Also cant remember if you'l lbe able to reprovision from cloud to local without a support contract, so it'll be worth a chat with Juniper's support maybe first. Gut instinct says you'll be given the ultimatum of a support contract/licensing and a controller, where a new unifi setup would cost less overall

Not a major issue, they bring little to no benefit to a classroom going from HD to 4k so it's not worth the expenditure, however just about anything modern core i5 onwards with a good amount of ram should cope with extended/duplicate 4k screens.
-
At that price (see currys link above) it's worth getting a couple in regardless, especially as they're 32GB models with free case and 64gb SD card.

Sorry, you have an odd interpretation of email safety and what junk/spam is, plus a highly probable misunderstanding of correlation/causation.
-
Yeah got a few, pretty nippy and good value for money IMO.

Keystroke is fine. Don't change the wording because some people say they're beyond help, educate them (heh). If something happens and they end up in court trying to get something dismissed because they didn't understand the word, they'd be found guilty of lack of intelligence and integrity before anything else.
