I think the reason this happens is because when the user signs out, the computer will briefly output no signal. When the projector receives no signal, the frozen screen will go off and the projector will say no signal. When the lock screen comes back on, it will just show the current output. I remember this happening to the NEC projectors at the last school. I'm not sure why it would/wouldn't happen with different computers. Maybe they were on different versions of windows or they took less time to enter the lock screen?

Strange how it's just that one video though.

I was on YouTube and was gonna add this song to a playlist but there is no title, like ratio, etc for me. My first thought was maybe my adblocker was messing it up, so tried it on my phone and the same thing happens. My guess is it must be some sort of way of un-listing a video outside of the normal options.

Gonna probably put together a new computer soon. Most of the OEM ones now have proprietary PSUs, weird form factors, etc and I don't want that! I have always had OEM ones which automatically activate.

Thanks for the info. I ran the diagnostics not long ago however, it always passes with flying colours. - - - Updated - - - The computer stays on once it's finally got going. I will have a look at the switch and make sure it's not that though.

One of the Dell Optiplex machines wasn't turning on properly this morning. When I pressed the power button, the machine turned on for about 3 seconds and before it POSTed, it turned off again. I turned it on again and it stayed on but there was no output to the monitors. After forcing the machine off and then back on, it turned on fine. Once the machine is on, it's okay. It's just starting up which seems to be the issue. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. I'm thinking power supply. It's a 5 year old Corsair VS350. This has been happening for a while now. Any thoughts?

I think students are sometimes asked to bring in their own for exams on the computer and if they don't have any they have to borrow some scratty headphones from the drawer.

All we have here is a USB and 3.5mm female to male cable and the female ends are on the desk and held in place really tight with a thick cable tie going through a cable tie holder which is screwed into the desk.

It randomly started working properly again so whatever it was has fixed itself.

No, It all loads fine in Incognito. It's also fine in guest mode. However when I'm signed in it's broken again.
