Just received our DFE laptops but they are locked down

So a while back we ordered some DFE windows laptops which have finally arrived, lol.

 

We ticked the option for non managed but they have arrived managed. I just tried to re install windows 10, but can't seem to as even doing that is locked down.

 

Is it possible to re install windows?

 

Should we send them back?

I remember there being a portal where you could access local admin / bios passwords. Have they gave you that ?

If they're hp there's a website/python script that'll override the bios password

Theres a portal, who ever ordered them with the DfE will have been sent a login for it.

 

We ordered two batches and one set of laptops had the incorrect Bios password in the portal and contacting the DfE was a pain. But Edugeek was very helpful

Also https://bios-pw.org/ is good for getting BIOS passwords. We used it for several DfE laptops.

Now getting a message here saying the service is closed, and then being redirected to a page where I can't get my BIOS passwords. Anyone got a clue please?

Just received an email from the DfE out of the blue! It links to here;

What does it mean when it says enter code?

 

Think I've figured it out. Seems to want serial number.

 

Its the code that appears on screen when the bios password has been locked out after 3 attempts.
