scholes99 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I was just after some New idea's Other than the usual software (office, adobe suite, ccleaner, AV, Audacity, etc) What do you usually put on a Windows 7 image? or is there anything you lock down locally on the machine? before deployment. thanks
3s-gtech Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 As well as yours shown, VLC goes on ours, along with Foxit (no Adobe Reader here unless absolutely necessary). Our IT suites have every subject's software (license permitting) then individual suites contain subject specific software.
AJWhite1970 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 The only other ones I can see off my list other than mentioned above is Movie Maker 2012 and KLite Codek Pack 7.xx
FN-GM Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Photo Story 3 and Movie Maker 2.6. Do you have photostory working on Windows 7?
SYNACK Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Do you have photostory working on Windows 7? I'm sure we use Photo story under W7 enterprise.
karldenton Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Photo Story 3 and Movie Maker 2.6. Same here - both work fine on Win 7
dany2010 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Nothing, I have finally stopped us having to use images. They are just a pain to setup, take too much time, and if you missed something you have to recreate the image and then re-image all the machines. You also have issues with driver so either it fails or you have to create a image for every type of machine The server has GPO and GPP for all your modding needs. Then install WDS and MDT and start deploying from the network. When i first started here they said we need to make a registry change on all machines and install all these programs. Go round to them all with these cd's. I quickly told them to get on their bike and showed them how to work the server properly. Edited February 11, 2013 by dany2010
