Hi, We are currently trialing Impero out on 30 PC's. I was just wondering if anyone has a classroom management use policy? if so would they be willing to share a sample of it? thanks

Does anyone know a way to setup a keyword / keystroke detector within Google apps? We have had a few pupils using some offensive language but we would like to be notified rather than search through mailboxes. thanks

If they have a cached profile it should log them on. All our staff are on roaming profiles

Run both. Let them decide Personally we have both. We have office 365 for staff and Google Apps for pupils. Staff also have Google apps to email pupils but cannot email from office 365

A few days ago the Headteacher called me into a meeting and said he wants me to come up with an idea that will help improve the school / improve results He believe's that my knowledge and expertise in my field should be utilised to help with the curriculum side too. I have told him that the reliable network infrastructure that I have put in place along side Google apps and Office 365 are helping in their own way. I just wanted to know if any other network managers / IT managers have been asked the same question? and if you have any ideas that you could share?

VeryPC. Colin and the guys are amazing. The build of all of the kits is quality. Used them now for over 18 months and never looked elsewhere since. We used to buy HP and Lenovo kit but nomore. It's a personalised service. They care about each customer. Unlike the big boys. Give each company a chance to quote but VeryPC will come out miles cheaper

Try and cycle to work. Introduce it gradually. Start off at one day a week and build it up.

Hi, We are currently looking at leaving our LEA. We currently have everything tied in with them. Internet, AV, firewall, Internet filtering, Phone system. I have a few questions: Is it worth while trying to get another all in package, or should I get a separate phone system? Can anyone recommend any good ISP's that have a highly recommended support team. thanks

Does anyone know of any free software or a way to get an audit of what roles /features are installed on your servers without having to manually go through each server?

Hi All, I am getting an error when I try and upgrade my DC VM from server 2008r2 to server 2012. It passes the compatibility and then runs through the upgrade fine until the first reboot. Here it then encounters the error of a blue screen with the error: INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE This then keeps looping It is run on Xenserver which is on a HP proliant DL360 G6 which is attached to a HP storageworks MSA60 where the VMs are stored. Any help or advise would be great

Office 365 email account for spiceworks helpdesk
scholes99 replied to scholes99's topic in Cloud Services
Sorry for the late reply. Our LEA opened the port on their firewall for me, after weeks of arguments -
I have recently moved over to office 365. I am trying to change the settings on my Spiceworks account so that emails come through to the helpdesk. I keep getting errors as it seems Spiceworks doesn't support SMTP via a proxy. Has anyone had this issue or do they know of a work around? I would ideally like to keep the same email account that we used before we migrated.

We purchased a load of iMac's a few years ago. At first they were used as iMac's but now we have had a new head of ICT and the basically the iMacs are now used as Windows machines. Their 3 year carepacks are nearly at their expiry date and our budgets have been cut. We are looking at alternatives for when we have to replace them. One suggestion was all in one pc's. Please could anyone share their experiences with windows all in pcs' and if they have any specific model they would recommend?
-
You can change reseller whenever. We moved half way through the 1st year. All you have to do is sign a form and the new reseller will do the rest.
