Costs us about £45 for just sorting the VGA out as tbh that is all you need in most cases, the component extender was another £7 so can be cheap. HDMI is the expensive one so far but we haven't had a need to use it yet but have one on-standby just incase we do need a bluray player over it etc...

We have to have USB also, as they're interactive projectors we're putting in now. And audio. Plus HDMI makes sense, as they support it, as do our newer laptops, so a switch makes sense...

You can still run USB over Cat 5 as if you are planning to run the USB over 5m you need a booster box anyway to make them work correctly.

Yes, but the costs are mounting then, meaning that the Vision TechConnect stuff is cheaper.
