Promethean Activboard serial number

Does anybody know where to find the serial number of a Promethean Activboard?

 

We've been looking all around and can't find any labels, so reckon it must be on the back!

 

We have a hardware problem and need the actual board serial number and not the software code.

Mine are usually on the penpot (just too far round to see) or on the back in the top left hand corner

 

If I can't access it I just argue with them and give them all the info I have - when and who bought it etc. They usually capitulate!

Basically, it takes very little notice of the pen. Any pen for that matter. You can get an occasional squiggle out of it, but it spikes like mad and just doesn't work most of the time :?

I think its on the back of the board mate - but you should have had the serial numbers for the boards, projectors, and any sound equipment printed on your delivery note / invoice (at least, we have here).

 

the board lifts up and then off the wall - you should be able to get it off easily with two people and one of you can look around the back whilst your holding it.

You should find that while the numbers are on the back, they are actually on the electronics bit. You shoud be able to peer around the back, through the gap and see it printed up the side! We have noted all ours down using this method! In future we will make sure to write them down before we get rid of the delivery note!

 

Just check also the penpot, as Witch said, on the newer ones, they are on a little strip that pulls out from behind.

All new ones have a tag on left hand corner with it on I am lead to believe (well all our new ones do).

Yup, older boards (ones without lights in the top left corner, and the ones with the black oval window there) have serial numbers on the pen pots or on the side of the electronics box behind the top left corner (put your head to the left side of the board and you may see it). Newer boards will just have the number on the side of the electronics box, boards made after Jan 2006 will have the tag that russ mentioned behind the bottom left corner.
