featured_spectre Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Does anyone know of any cheap webhosting...preferably that I can pay by the month? Looking to have .co.uk web domain, 500mb space, 5gb traffic, a few databases (3 minimum), 50 email addresses. Any and all help appreciated.
north-ict Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 My friend use to use these guys there based in the states tho HostMonster - Web Hosting
LosOjos Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I can highly recommend @EduTech EduTech Hosting Services 1
LosOjos Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 i can highly not recommend EduTech web hosting Care to provide reasons? I've personally never had a problem and think the service you get is exceptional for the price.
glennda Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 i can highly not recommend EduTech web hosting Don't see why, James is a nice fella and also his platform I used was good and so is the hosted Exchange i get from him. CS new Media have a low cost option - Linux Web Hosting, Shared Linux PHP/MySQL Hosting - CS New Media Web Hosting 1
MicrosoftTechy Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 EDIT: Wrong user was not looking properly !!
januttall Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) use hostgator $3.96 per month unlimited space unlimited email addresses and unlimited databases. Web Hosting - Shared cPanel Web Hosting hatchling plan works out at about £30pa for 3 years. and they give you a discount on .co.uk name registration. with php and everything else included. "we*" were with some one who wanted £300Pa just for 1000mb and PHP no email addresses or anything. i didn't orange that. but host gator is also far faster. you can upgrade to more things like multiple domains and things but the basic one had enough for us. *a charitable organization i help at. Edited November 19, 2012 by januttall Corecting the price
januttall Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 tech suport is brill as well. had to use it a few times with the transfer the old hosts were being difficult, and one or two other things.
Pyroman Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I use CS New Media and their support was great, even when i managed to bork up the hosting MONUMENTALLY they sorted it in a few hours
EduTech Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 EDIT: Wrong user was not looking properly !! Phew! I was going to say I have never had any problems, but was willing to hear them if this was so! I try my best to provide the best possible FREE Service to all. :-) James.
CAM Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I recommend CS New Media as Carl has this habit of replying to helpdesk tickets at the most unlikely times of the evening, making me stay up even later breaking more things for him to fix. 1
jinnantonnixx Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 I've used LCN. No problems to report. Web Hosting - UK Website Hosting and Domain Names - LCN.com
rich_tech Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Cheap Web Hosting - Ultimate Speed, Reliability, Web Builder & Backups - I use these its £23 for a whole year with them on the package I am on, would recommend, only one instance of an outage (database issue on my site) in two years and that was fixed within about 10 minutes Would highly recommend
PEO Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I host the schools website with CS New Media Web Hosting - UK Based Web Hosting, Reseller Hosting, VPS & Dedicated Servers I have 100% confidence in them that any new web project is always hosted with them.
featured_spectre Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 It has been sorted. Also, upon checking reviews, that site looks dodgy

mossj88 Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Just to add I've been with CSnewmedia for almost 5 years now, used it on both shared and VPS plans, tried a few other (slightly cheaper) hosts over the years and always come back to CSnewmedia as you get what you pay for. It's UK based as well so if it's a UK site your setting up it can help in the SERPs.
jinnantonnixx Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Which one? There was a spammy link in a previous post - the post has gone now.
Danp Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 I have my own server and host a few sites for people, gives me something to tinker with and some dev space for myself.
jtoland Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 hi i personaly do hosting and depending on what you wish i could make it realy cheap for you
north-ict Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 As I said, its been sorted Out of curiosity who did you go with in the end @nephilim ?
featured_spectre Posted December 12, 2012 Author Posted December 12, 2012 @EduTech sorted it as and when needed. Nice and smooth
