PC Reservation Software

Hi All

 

Do any of you use reservation software so the kids/staff can book a PC in the library. Looking for something you can allocate a time and it will log them off after a certain amount of time - we've got more Students this year with less PC's!

 

would love a free /cheap system!! - so far i've found this Free Open Source PC Booking and Reservation Computer Software: Pre-Book which sounds brilliant - all the components are free but if you want to hook it up to AD they charge $2000 dollars because this feature is only configurable by them!

 

Anyone used this system or can recomend anything else?

Google apps has a resource booking system.

MRBS is free and can be extended to book equipment such as computers and minibuses instead of rooms.

Thanks for the reply Cybernerd - i'm after something that will allow the students to make a reservation and will log the students out after there time period has expired - were looking to set it so students can only get half an hour on a PC rather than hogging it all lunch period so no other students get a look in!

Thanks for the info guys - a month later and i'm back on this one - dont you just hate it when other stuff gets in the way!

 

I've asked Netloan for a quote so fingers crossed it will be reasonable!

Used to have MyPC at a previous college. Seemed pretty good and support was always good. They'd do all the upgrades remotely and very helpful.
