G-Jackson Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Welcome (I'm ex-army with 12 years too). 'until Blair put my Co out of business' Surely you mean Maggie? No - I mean Blair - after the RAF I set-up my own Company to go Contracting - all was well until Blair got in then he introduced the dreaded IR35 - Stealth Tax and started flooding the market with cheap labour - the bottom just dropped out of the market, rates dropped and you just couldn't afford to work for the money being offered... so company closed and here I am in a school @ Butuz - I wasn't consulting - I was in the RAF - served 12 years... I got out because at the time there was no IT Trade - we were all Electronics Trades - If I'd stayed in I could have been posted back on to a Radar site and I'd have lost all my IT Skills so I took redundancy.

ZeroHour Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Introducing so I can make a post Hi KK20, Sorry about forcing the first post but this only happens when a url/image is posted in the first post. This requirement has blocked so many automatic spambots you have no idea.
elsiegee40 Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Dorset_Yokel I'm sure witch will be along to say hi another member of the Dorset edugeek crowd... there seem to be quite a lot from your neck of the woods! KK20 too!
jimofcheeni Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Apparently, I need to do this to post a link. I'm James Beck, originally from Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Now living in Hessle, East Yorkshire (where the Humber Bridge sprouts its concrete and steel from on the North Side). I am the network manager at South Hunsley School. Woop!

Dennis Welcome aboard Dennis, is the PowerMan software you speak of similar to the FREE EZ GPO : ENERGY STAR ??
dssupport Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 No it isn't free but it works properly and is professionally supported. Many people come to it after trying EZ-GPO because it works in a similar way and can be managed with Group Policy. There is a upfront comparison on the website (PowerMAN Technical). I'm sorry you've clearly been upset by my previous post. I trust that you don't think this is an advert.

LOL upset , not at all I belive that if you wish to self promote then you should contact the mods or admins with a few to advertising your service which in no doubt is beneficial,
