How do I make PC restart twice after re-imaging from sysprep?

I've being looking through the Windows System Image Manager but couldn't find anything.

 

Machine re-image from ghost server, pause for the machine name to be entered, a powershell script adds them to the domain and then I want to restart them twice.

 

I guess it needs to be a powershell script?

 

Implemented Windows 7 site wide a year ago but jus trying to fine tune everything.

If you're determined to have it restart twice, why not make a file on the HDD to count how many times it has restarted?

 

Then add "IF [file]=2 [norestart] ELSE [file+1 > file] [restart]" [NOTE: actual working code may vary]

Partly, but with laptops recently I found the need to restart twice, at first startup it comes up with correct domain login box, 2nd restart and goes back to the normal non-domain login, after 3rd restart ity goes back to the domain login box again.

 

But yes, it would be good to get a good stab at software deployment GPO's and updates before putting the laptop out for general use.

 

I suppose I could use that script "gpupdate /force /restart" as a run once in the unattend file?

Good thoughts, I might need to do this too as we have some flaky graphics drivers that demand a double restart after imaging, the first restart seems to detect monitor and set resolution, but at 256 colour, the second restart sorts that.
