xampp internal web server

What I am trying to do is set up an internal webserver using xampp.

 

I have it installed and have an internal Joomla site running on it quite happily. What I can't figure out is how to get the xampp apache server to use our proxy server to get information from the internet, specifically from a google calendar.

 

How do I configure xampp to use our proxy server for external requests?

Running Joomla 2.5 with the Gcalendar extension on the current version of Wampp on w7pro 32

There is a setting for system default proxy ( or something like that ) on windows..

 

May work just by loggin in a s local Admin and setting the proxy in IE.. Not sure.
