MelodicBrush Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 ok, i've got the barebones up, managed to connect my hard drive, now im trying to connect my CD drive, and it didnt detect it during the boot :/ even though it would open and closed :/ am i missing a plug? I only had 1 thing plugged into it from the power supply
ChrisH Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 You need a power lead and the data lead which I'm assuming will be a sata cable.
Michael Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 You should have a power lead, as well as a SATA cable (exactly like your hard drive). One SATA cable (usually red/pink) and one power cable (usually black).
