If anyone spots a lot of animals leaving any zoos please be sure and warn the rest of us..

kearton Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I was tempted to post to this thread yesterday morning about how it was hot here in Essex and how I hadn't seen rain for ages. However yesterday afternoon it chucked it down. So much, in fact, that the PFY here got a call from his Mum at about 3:30 to say that her garage was flooded, and could he come home ASAP......... Sunny again today mind...
Geoff Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 If it carries on raining like it has here, I'm going to add a request for a speed boat for moving equipment around and personal jet skis for all IT technicians.
ChrisH Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 It just the usual ratio of good to bad weather 3 days sun then 3 weeks rain .
contink Posted June 15, 2007 Author Posted June 15, 2007 It just the usual ratio of good to bad weather 3 days sun then 3 weeks rain . If we're talking balance here we'll be fried alive when the sun comes out.. The water levels are that bad.

If you will work in such a wet part of the country... I swear it rained without stopping for the whole of my first term at Uni in Lancaster!

ConTheITGuy Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 My apologies everyone - we went out and bought some new chairs for the garden late on Sunday. Obviously we haven't had chance to try them yet We had 2 BBQs planned this weekend too. It does look to be brightening up a bit now tho. Andy

googlemad Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 This thread reminds me of the tour I was getting round the college I am now employed with, I was asking if they had a wireless network and they did have one... ...until God destroyed it! (Bye bye insurance...)

witch Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 We have had nice weather until yesterday, and even then we only had the odd shower - although it has been VERY humid. Last night we had what, in South Dorset, passes for a thunderstorm (5 mins very heavy rain, one rumble, 5 mins very heavy rain) and it has rained a bit today. Not enough to stop me going out for a run, and it was lovely and cool.
Andrew_C Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Our first one arrived this evening. Turned the chips in my home PC into fries. I hope it is just the PSU... I'll look later but I think it's dead Jim! :-(
