Can I have a few easy/quick/cheap suggestions to let my headteacher print things from his IPad to our networked printers? :)

Ta in advance

Do you have papercut at per chance, this includes a web print feature that actually works. The native Airprint stuff involves turning off everything even remotely assosiated with security and logging.

The other thing you could look at is a printer with airprint support built in.

I hope you will give them the appropriate amount of mocking for trying to use an iPad for work instead of its designated workload of facebook postings as it is a consumer device.

Consumer grade, thats all its fit for.

Since this the very nice man that pays my wages, i missed out the mocking (more a look of pity) but did heavily mention that it is a personal device.

I've suggested that setting up a gmail account and emailing himself the work he did on the plane back from USA :)

SimpleSi, probably wayyy too late to reply to your post, but your headteacher could have used some third party apps too

i have print and altamail by a company called eurosmartz on my ipad and it works a treat

anyway thought i could at least introduce myself and say hello! :D

I tried out synacks suggestions and it all seemd to go nicely on my ipad - printers appeared as options to print to, files got sent to the server spooler, file disappeared from server spooler queue - nothing came out of printer :(

Will try again (and the other suggestsion) when in on Fri
