SimpleSi Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Now, your "normal" people are going to be out at the seaside or in the garden and preparing for the evenings bbq But, I know, some Edugeekers (not me BTW) are going to be doing something that should only be done on wet weekends in November. Come on - out with it - what are you up to today Si
SYNACK Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 It was a sweet crisp winters day here, 12 degrees most of the day ( I know, thats not really cold ). I played through Singularity today, an alright game but an oversimplified storyline.
SimpleSi Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 sun shining sitting indoors looking at edugeek Point well made young padawan @SYNACK - your not allowed an entry into this competition! (Unless of course you'd been off for a little swim between the islands! )
SimpleSi Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 I am mixing geekness with BBQ prep - I've put a co-ax splitter on the bedroom TV and run an extension lead to an old TV in the garden so I can watch the GrandPrix at the same time
Dos_Box Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Working on policy documentation Mind you, spent all yesterday afternoon walking the Pennines looking at stone circles east of Burnley.
round2it Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 think i will re position one of my cctv cameras also the heat is killing my cctv rig in the loft gonna add a few fans 1
garethEds Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Reading Edugeek but will be gardening later and washing the caravan ready for next week. Then got OU tt284 assignment to finish. Any php experts out there? Gareth
ChrisH Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I have an OU TMA to start today so that going to be me for most of the day.
pcstru Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Played tennis for a couple of hours. Probably some pottering in the garden this afternoon and some development on an Arduino 2.4GHz multi point network (using NRF24L01 modules) which will be part of my greenhouse automation project (geeky gardening).
glennda Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Doing final changes to a FS Migration for a client! sitting in the garden though!
Pete10141748 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Watching the last few episodes of TrueBlood season 4 with the OH, then playing some MTG and then out for dinner to meet best mates' new girlfriend.
dwhyte85 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Avoiding the sun at all costs. Playing counter strike source at 27... I have an excuse, sort of!
m25man Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Just hand washed and polished the Smart (I will never buy another black car), now settled down to F1 in HD with lots of cold beer. 1
6Foot2 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Link: Nerdy Day Trips I am a very big fan of nerdy day trips, from Sea Forts to abandoned nuclear bunkers, dead victorian racecourses, roads that are falling into the ground, narrow gauge railways that take you to a power station, wherever. I like decaying infrastructure, terrifying modernity, and enthusiast-run museums with 6 pages of small-font text explaining every exhibit...
sted Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Getting closer to 100% on forza 4. Almost finished Europe
dwhyte85 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Spot of Quakelive, curtains drawn and play offs in back ground.
PiqueABoo Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Lazy Sunday morning recovering from the night before then went 'fun' swimming with Sprogette & tOH, only unlike pretty much everyone else ("standing waist-deep in chlorine chucking stuff to their mates"[1]) we did real fun stuff involving at least some real swimming. Highlight for me was a spell in one of the non-fun 'fast' lanes when some macho bloke with all the flash kit the next lane along clearly tried to beat Sprogette (aged 8) over a length of front crawl and she slaughtered him. Forget having to live with compulsive oppositional disorder, kids can be *so* rewarding sometimes. [1] From a wry article by Janice Turner who wants to be and would make a good "Swimming Czar" in reaction to this recent news: Primary schools 'failing to honour swimming obligations'. Not that it's really news as such..
GrumbleDook Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Been doing DIY today, replacing smoke detectors, swapping the strip of spots in the kitchen back to a strip light, a bit of gardening, updating wife's Windows 7 partition on her Mac in prep for exam marking training next weekend, installing Diablo on the desktop in the home office and some general tidying up of audio recordings. Oh ... and just back from a trip to a Heston-quality Little Chef because we fancied an Olympic breakfast (a reward for the Wife who has been in work yesterday and today as OFSTED are due in Tues/Wed next week).
localzuk Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I spent my morning travelling home from a wedding reception in Dunster yesterday. Now, I'm enjoying some nice relaxation time programming.
jedmondson Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 I was helping out on a Cub camp and doing some training for my wood beads. 5 years later might be a bit late in some cases but not at scouts. So i have been watching presentations and trying to keep Cubs occupied. Edit - And also watered the plants at the allotment.
elsiegee40 Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Hubby got home from India this morning... kids revising for GCSEs and A Levels... massive barbecue blow-out this evening 1
