planning on deploying Google chrome on the schools computers in the next couple of days for one reason and another.. have got everything working as i would like..

but im having an issue with one last thing..

If the users click on settings, under the bonnet and then http/ssl and manage certificates it pops up the certificates box.. searched high and low i cant find out where to stop this.. I dont think its in the Chrome settings as its a windows pop up window that appears..

does anyone know where the setting is in group policy management to stop the certificates window from opening?

thanks in advance!

Sorry to dig an old post.

Did you ever find the gpo for this setting?

I'm just looking at this now also.

It does appear to be a Windows setting, so perhaps it will be a Windows GPO that needs adjusting somewhere?

Can you not just block access to the chrome://settings url in the 'Block access to a list of urls' in chrome group policies? What I do here.

Genius idea! I'll give that a whirl!

Thanks.

You may find you'll need to block access to the entire chrome scheme, apart from the print dialog. I tried blocking chrome://settings and it didnt work, so i ended up blocking every scheme url available, heres my blocked list:

I'm a bit late to the party on this, but blocking chrome://* will block everything in one go to save you entering the entire list. You can then add in the areas you want to allow access to, such as printing, in the Allowed URL setting.
