Popular Post SimpleSi Posted May 12, 2012 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2012 I've worked tirelessly to impart a sense of what's right and what's wrong in life to my youngest daughter but once they go away to University, you don't have control any more and I've just had to trust that she does the right thing. Therefore, it was a sad day today, when despite all the advice, all the reasons not to, she goes and she texts me to say .... ... that she's bought a 3 year old, second-hand Macbook on Ebay!!!! Si 15
GrumbleDook Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Absolutely terrible ... you would have thought that with all your education over the years she would had bought a brand new one from a nearby Apple Store.
witch Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 OMG. You must have gone very very wrong somewhere...I must ring my daughter and check she isn't doing something so heinous as this...
PiqueABoo Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Probably a reaction to how you configure Windows - should have given her a non-admin logon and locked it down enough to stay reliable.. ;b 1
pcstru Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 (edited) Buy her one of their phones, then she'll be siri. Edited May 12, 2012 by pcstru 1

localzuk Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Oh dear, is it bad that I see this as a *good* investment?? Maybe I'd be a terrible parent.
witch Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Oh dear, is it bad that I see this as a *good* investment?? Maybe I'd be a terrible parent. Yes, yes you would...in fact, it may not be allowed......
EduTech Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 If I was you Simon, You know that nice BBQ that you are building at the moment... throw it on there next weekend when she returns! ;-) making sure that you make her stand and watch you, whilst you are also informing her of what is right in life! AGAIN! :-) Should do the trick! lol ;-) James.

tb2571989 Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 *sound of plane going down in flames* neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww. I'd be wary of buying anything that age, ebay or not. Probably couple of months away from some major failure.
