Popular Post witch Posted May 9, 2012 Popular Post Posted May 9, 2012 Star Trek London | 19th - 21st October 19th-21st October at excel Any one going? I am!! 5
mattx Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh my Gawd......... I cannot take it Captain.....all this trek in one place....
jinnantonnixx Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Set faces to 'stunned'.... I'm partial to a spot of TNG now and again, but the first series was too cheesy and never really got into the later ones.
jinnantonnixx Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Time for a classic clip. WARNING: CONTAINS GRAPHIC AND GORY VIOLENCE **** YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! 1
witch Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 I am an original trekker - and I love Voyager, TNG and Deep Space Nine. I especially adore the music too. Never got into Enterprise but I loved the new film.
mattx Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Just realised this is handy for keeping track of what time it is in the UK [ Post times ] as I have set everything up for NY to help with my Jet Lag.....ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
mthomas08 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I was expecting the clip of Kirk vs Spock *der der der derrrrr* Cable guy style. Took a look at the guest list and I would want to go just for the sake of meeting all of them, especially William Shatner and Patrick Stewart. Other half though would probably call me a geek 50 times a day and disown me.
jamesfed Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Oh oh pick me pick me!! Remember when Star Trek was in the Science Museum - was fantastic I seemed to be the only one there who could correctly align the sensors to detect a habitable planet
north-ict Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 OMG thanks @witch i grew up on classic star trek and then everything else (Hell i use to read the star trek novels when i was in year 6 which use to be in the adult section of the library)
witch Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 Other half though would probably call me a geek 50 times a day and disown me. Now there, you see, I win...mrwITch is as much of a geek as me. (well, more, really - he's a software engineer !) Tickets booked for Saturday. Don't know if I am going to book any extras yet
gmj Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Can see it now…William Shatner! (Massive cheering and applause)….Patrick Stewart! (Massive cheering and applause)…Avery Brooks! (Loud applause)…Kate Mulgrew! (applause)…Scott Bakula! (coughs and tumbleweeds while someone shouts “Oh Boy!” at him).
Garacesh Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I'll be the one to do it.. Picard > Kirk I wish I had the money for something like this, but I think Mrs. Garacesh would disown me xD 1
witch Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 I wish I had the money for something like this, but I think Mrs. Garacesh would disown me xD Birthday present? I think it was £29 for the day. The transport will cost more but what the heck!
localzuk Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Whatever you do, don't look at the price of the VIP package on there!!
gmj Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Whatever you do, don't look at the price of the VIP package on there!! WOW! I just did. Hoping to go (LOVE my Trek, massive TNG fan) but will be a day ticket methinks...although will stop over night down there somewhere, bit of a trip from the midlands.
sted Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 WOW! I just did. Hoping to go (LOVE my Trek, massive TNG fan) but will be a day ticket methinks...although will stop over night down there somewhere, bit of a trip from the midlands. if you book far enough in advance just use the train its often cheap and i personally wont drive in london they are all sodding nutters. 1
north-ict Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Excels pretty close to me so getting theres not a problem its the decision of which ticket to go for and if i want to get a picture taken.
aerospacemango Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 if you book far enough in advance just use the train its often cheap and i personally wont drive in london they are all sodding nutters. WHhhaaaaaattt? I used to drive in London all the time, and as long as you get in the mindset of "This is MY piece of road, and you ain't having it!" you'll be fine!!! Anyway, back to the original post.... It's my birthday on sunday, so may have to ask the OH about this, as she's always on about me not wanting stuff for birthday!!! I will now say the obvious..... Kirk > Picard!!!
north-ict Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 (edited) I have posted this in another thread and since its star trek related i'll post it here aswell. Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Frakes will be attending Earls court london film and comic-con as well as others. 6th - 8th July 2012. london film and comic con 2012 I will probably go to the excel one and the earls court one too EDIT: Tim Russ and Traceee Cocco will be attending too Edited May 10, 2012 by north-ict
localzuk Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Kirk > Picard!!! Archer > Pircard > Kirk... (*trollface*)
north-ict Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Archer > Pircard > Kirk... (*trollface*) I think you just committed yourself to wearing a red blazer didn't you?!?!?!?!?!? LOL
witch Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 I won't be going to the comic con as I might bump into my daughter dressed as *cough* Lust - apparently an anime character from Full Metal Alchemist?? As for Star Trek:I can't decide whether to buy anything on top of my ticket for the day. As for getting there, I will drive up to Surbiton and park for free on the road, catching a train from there.
localzuk Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I'm not sure yet - if Wil Wheaton decides to go, then I'd definitely go though.
