mac_shinobi Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Not to hijack your thread but just curious do Ruckus do a dual band WiFi Access point ? Also I take it Ruckus are not going to bother with 802.11ac ?

Also I take it Ruckus are not going to bother with 802.11ac ? Yup, they do. It's the Ruckus 7363 AP. We have them here and provide both 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz. Work like a charm.

denon101 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Yeah, that sounds about right. I think the last time we bought one they were about £400 - £450.
IrritableTech Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) The problem with Ruckus purchasing is the first person you approach for a quote, will give the best price. The resellers have to lodge the project with Ruckus, and they get preferential pricing. It's really annoying, because if you need three formal quotes, some companies don't want to waste their time writing up a quote they know you'll never go with (who can blame them!), and I don't really want to ask them! I've had emails from people in the last couple of days, sorry the school is already registered with another company, we won't be able to compete on pricing this time round... All that said, I love the kit! I've had good quotes from @Net-Ctrl, @CPLTD and as recently as yesterday evosys.co.uk Edited April 19, 2012 by IrritableTech 2
