Just ! - what else can you say about a poohenge! @SpuffMonkey

Our's is just the pentergeist, steals all pens from our office never to be seen again (until we tidy up...)

We too are currently having a spate of the flash drive fairy leaving drives in computers.

Sorry, come back to add a bad pun. Shame you couldn't catch him brown handed!

So the Mug Monster and Spoon Monster exhist in other locations.

The Toilet Monster who cant flush the thing, the one who stuffs bog roll down in or the one who leaves the tap running.

To Top it, we have a Milk Monster, this one spills milk everywhere and doesnt clear it up. Weeks later the stench is disgusting.

I also think their is a Photocopier Monster somewhere, its always broken or needs seeing to when I want to use it!

The cat 5 monster. He or she unplugs the network cables, sometimes fully but mostly so they still look like they are connected to the socket, but they aren't quite making contact.

These monsters seem to appearing in most places, we have had (some would say) random occurrences of all of these, the Mug monster and cable eating monster being ones to name a few!

We have had a new one recently (remarkably after we have fit a load of new machines in classrooms), the Email Fairy! s/he can send emails as someone else even when the someone else swears blind they have logged out of the machine.

I think a children's picture book deal is in order for all of these - although poohenge may just push it over the limit ;)

We have pretty much all of the monsters you mentioned.

Plus aliens and dragons.

Plus, we have the elusive audio cable snapper. Who likes to break the pin of AV cables in the wall, and also likes to gently rest the broken cable on the connector. [thus making it look fine and not broken.]

Then, there's your standard network gremlin. I think it likes to stand on the CAT5[e] to restrict the flow. [This is how networks work, yes?]

Plus we have the BMP bandit. Who, every morning, runs round the school breaking our login screens. [so they look like a mass of grey horribleness.]

On the subject of faries... We have the logon fairy. Which is more akin to a troll than an actual fairy. It goes into the ICT Suite and logs pupils onto the computer during break, then locks the screen so nobody can use the computer without either [a] Finding me or turning it off at the plug, then rebooting.

The staff room mug monster is a regular nuisance. It keeps moving mugs to other buildings

.

I can't find a youtube clip of Moss trying to find his mug with the image on the bottom :(

We have an Eater of VGA Cables who, I imagine, looks like a steampunk Eater Of Socks from Terry Pratchetts Hogfather.

Ohh - we've got one of those too - but we also have an eater of audio cables - had three already this morning :(

I tried to help... all I can find is Moss talking about his new cup.

I feel betrayed by the internet.

Judging by the posts in this thread, I can only conclude that there are multiple of each of these monsters, stalking anywhere education or IT may call its habitat.

Since they are never ever seen, I deduce they must be somewhat related to the Grue. Perhaps a genitic relative?

Of cource there are multiples. They're unionised.

The "National Union of Mythical and Magical Animals."

or NUMMA.

I think they went on strike a coupe of years ago, over proposed changed to the amount of havok they are allowed to wreak. Something about the "international statutes for the restriction of potential exposure".

I have a sneaking suspicion it may be nesting overnight in the EduGeek office, particularly in the big cables box I keep on top of the filing locker. We seem to have an increasing amount of VGA cables although we have never purchased any for years. It's all very mysterious, but this looks like it could be the answer.

Ooooh I wonder if the creator of Poohenge has started working here???? If she has then she has made her presence felt!!

We have the keyboard Kaiser who blows all the keys off on a regular basis. Rearranges keys into sweary words.

The silvertipped scissor fairy cuts the mice cables.

Then you have the password elf who steals students passwords and replaces them with something else.

It's cousin, who dines on Cat5E, nests in our ICT suite. The number of unused cables is growing. I really can't work out where they've all come from.

Has anyone suffered from the 'printer eater'?

My very small IT cupboard has been infested with previously unseen printers - three this week.

Is something nesting??
