K.C.Leblanc Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Sadly not me! The port is blocked So you've tried
matt40k Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 Was thinking about a stunnel or something so it could be access behind a firewall
pcstru Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Also for consideration - how about dissallow 90 deg turns on rail.
localzuk Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Also for consideration - how about dissallow 90 deg turns on rail. What? This was allowed so far?? I've been carefully planning routes with gradual turns!
pcstru Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 You say'n your spaghetti line was ... planned????? ;-)
localzuk Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 You say'n your spaghetti line was ... planned????? ;-) Oi! That was a very efficient line. Gradual slopes, gradual turns, dual input/output on both directions of the main line. Multi-functional and fast... Compared with someone's giant ring lines which had tunnels everywhere causing massive tailbacks...
pcstru Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 can inflation be knocked off as when years get high anyone starting has a real isue affording much lol The amount you can borrow rises with inflation and later in the game you can take advantage of the fact that towns are large enough that stations can always generate a full passenger load. Inflation doesn't really make start-up too much more of a problem,
matt40k Posted March 16, 2012 Author Posted March 16, 2012 OK, summary of changes on the next restart: [pf] forbid_90_deg = true [network] server_name = Edugeek OpenTTD Server (1.1.5) [gui] autosave = half year [economy] inflation = false exclusive_rights = false
localzuk Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Well... I managed to make a good job of that. Just redid some junctions and so far have wiped out nearly all my trains in collisions. Yay.
CAM Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 That is really hard to do! Are you re-signalling a live track?
localzuk Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 That is really hard to do! Are you re-signalling a live track? Yup. Basically, I caused deadlock in a tight spot, and couldn't get out of it, so the only way to fix it was to deliberately crash all the trains.
CAM Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Build a depot, tell trains in front to go to depot and halt. Sorted.
localzuk Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Build a depot, tell trains in front to go to depot and halt. Sorted. Couldn't, there was no space to do so, as every track tile had a signal on it.
matt40k Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 Is it the game restarting after a certain date?
sparkeh Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I er.. appear to have er... ahem.. forgotten my company password - anything I can do?
localzuk Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Why won't my trains auto-replace or auto-renew?! Very annoying having to manually do it.
matt40k Posted April 3, 2012 Author Posted April 3, 2012 No idea, need to take server offline for a bit shortly.
localzuk Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 I need to expand on my knowledge of different types of station etc... Some of you guys really know how to generate income! My stations take ages to build each time.
matt40k Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 Had an issue when I tried upgrading the OS, basically fooked it up. I've hopefully now got the DC to upgrade the BIOS so it can be redirected over serial so I should in future be able to change the boot priority so I can boot from pxe to recover. Should be back up again later tonight if all goes well. PS: Don't forgot to update your OpenTTD to 1.2.0 too
matt40k Posted April 26, 2012 Author Posted April 26, 2012 SERVERS BACK UP - NEW IP - 93.93.129.172 DNS name is the same - openttd.matt40k.co.uk Remember it's running 1.2.0 - which you can download for free from OpenTTD
localzuk Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Just tried to get back in to the server and noticed its on 1.2.0. Any chance of an update to 1.2.1?
matt40k Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 Can try, I won't be renewing it beyond this month by the way.
localzuk Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Can try, I won't be renewing it beyond this month by the way. Ah, ok. No worries. I may look at my own instead then.
