I have schools with TheLifeChannel in them.

 

For years - the answer has always been no when I've asked if they (basically streaming media servers) can be made visible from outside CLEO.

 

Now, people keep telling my heads that it works but NO-ONE will supply the information as to how to actually get this working (Or even the paperwork hoops needed to get the ball rolling).

 

Yesterdays conversations with

1. OneConnect - its all setup to work - one school in Lancs is doing it - no we don't know which one!!!!! - contact THeLifeChannel for details.

 

2. TheLifeChannel - takes a day to reply to my email and then they send me standard guff to embed in website as if we have an external IP.

 

(PS TheLifeChannel are in Preston but seemingly completely oblivious as to how the school networks work in Lancs.

 

 

Of course, my head is starting to blame me as he keeps on being told that it can be done by whoever he speaks to on the phone.

 

 

As usual, I believe the Dark Lords are just having a laugh!

 

At least when they had the honesty to say - get stuffed - you knew where you were

Just to let you know as of 2009 the TheLifeChannel was in use at Pendle Vale College, Nelson this could still be the case....

Well, I've had another call from the Westfield Centre and the answer is no. I just need to get my head to hear this for himself

One of my Schools had life channel decided it was a wste of time and been waiting 6 months for them to collect their equipment and i bet they stil wont have collected by summer hols

I wouldn't even enterain the idea of the Life Channel. 90% of the time I used the screens for Powerpoints ...
