Hi All Can someone confirm Lancs CC DNS Addresses please im going off memory and thought 212.219.83.4 and 212.219.82.4 were the norm. For some reason only 82.4 is working ive contacted the Bods at county but still awaiting a phonecall back Thanks in advance Gary
  7. ive 40 ipads with a further 30 arriving this week and probably another 30 by mid November cant use to many paid apps as once swtiched over we wont be able to use again as we are on Apple configurator at moment but with each procurement this proves tiresome to deploy . Think i will take a look at Meraki in the meantime .
  8. I wouldn't mind but the Lightspeed MDM is a system ive seen running in other areas of the county and i see no reason for BTLancs to try and turn it into their own Frankenstein's Monster when in actual fact the service as they receive it works perfectly well . Ive spoken with Lightspeed and they agree also
  9. Still waiting for this service to become active. Was told November then March then May and still waiting . Just not acceptable for the delay and education projects not replying to emails . No one seems to be able to give a conclusive answer as to when MDM will be live.
  10. Hi All , We have a 2008 R2 machine thats basically just a file storage box away from our curric server. We have our SLT files on this r 2machine and all has been running ok. Friday 13th arrived and slt cant access the network drives . Ive used ADMIN rights but even this wont allow access to the network drives. I can login on the server with no issues . I tried creating a new file share tried to connect to it on a pc and admin username and password wont authenticate. I tried to login in remotely jst to see whether i could and again admin rights wont authenticate and allow access . Any ideas anyone ????????????????????? Thanks Gary
  11. Hi Andy ,Sounds like a plan . Im hoping that i seriously dont end up with a 21" tv and a usb pen and "there you go " option ! lol
  12. Hi All , Fresh from a governors meeting ive been informed we have to have a screen up in school . So as usual it has to be cheap and do everything ! Ive seen Xibo up and running via @soveryapt has anyone any info to assist please. A tv screen with a usb pen was mooted as a cheap and cheerful option but i was hoping this was said tongue in cheek:rolleyes:
  13. I cancelled my subscription last month £65.00 a month and wasn't really watching anything of interest just channel hopping .They haggled me to stay but declined their offers. Only thing i miss is some of the recorded stuff thats on the hard drive other than that IPTV all the way for me
  14. I added a wireless card to our admin Pc's when we were having a classroom built .The builders (nice chaps) took a circular saw to the ceiling and promptly wiped out the entire cabling in school . On the plus side we now have new shiny data cabs and fibre between floor levels .
  15. We have Casio's in every class and have been brilliant purchase .Though we are starting to introduce Phillips 65" Led touch screens. Just had one fitted for Reception and the clarity is exceptional. Suffice to say various staff members now wanting one in their classrooms .
  16. Mine is " Violator "

  18. Virgin Broadband all the way . Im due to ring up to renew and get best deal . Later this month im getting free upgrade to 152 meg . Been with Virgin for as long as i can remember . No issues at all

  20. Thanks Joanne i bet its county tinkering

  22. Has the lightspeed filtering blocked Apple App and Itunes store ? I'm sure BTSL have been tinkering because it was working last week..
  23. We were just about to order 10 Apple Tv's but we tried a demo of airserver and have had no issues at all with it
  24. Just about to embark on the "shiny shiny" Ipad journey . I've some arriving later today to give to teachers to take home and use with a view in September to deploying a further 50 across school. We are looking at 1-1 throughout school next summer but i guess alot will depend on how things go before then. We have Lightspeed filtering which looked very good at a conference i attended but since BT Lancs CC got their hands on it they seem to have broken the flexibility but early days yet .
