I remember in 2004 buying bunch of these (Evesham Voyager 64 3200+ | Laptops | Reviews | PC Pro - we want 'powerful' laptops they said!). It is the only laptop I've every had that required 2 hands to pick up and made you grunt when you did so. A beast of a machine at the time though

Reminds me of my old Mesh rebadged Clevo laptop. It had a desktop P4 in it, with a desktop graphics chipset (none of this 'M' stuff). Weighed a tonne, but was a beast of a machine at the time.

 

The power connector even looks similar - it had a 4 pin connector for mine.

 

That weighed about 3.5kg so this is a bit beefier...

 

If only I had £5k to spend, and legs made of steel.

We bought some HP 6560b this year and compared to other laptops-- they are bricks--

 

still they are for the teachers-- if they can feel the weight, they won't accidently whack them into table wills they??? well thats the theory

That is more powerful than my PC at home...its ridiculous! Still would be nice if my legs wouldn't get crushed by it!

I love the way it is classed as a mobile server. In the same way all servers are mobile... With a trolley!
