External 17" LCD monitor Thank goodness for that, you'd get terrible neck ache if you had to stare at an internal monitor all day Seriously, though, every technician should have at least two monitors. It does wonders for the way you can work.
glennda Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I've got two of last years model stones - I3's with 4GB ram (but hdd changed) so I've got a 500GB disk. It does the job - although i'm going to port it over to the newer model stones - I3's with SSD's 4Gb ram. I also have 4 x DGM 22" monitors (dual Dual Screen) using Synergy so 1Keyboard and mouse across the two pc's (one win 7 other Ubuntu)

Everybody in our Central Admin Staff office have dual 19" monitors. So does finance, heads pa, all of slt (apart from one DH who has a 27" monitor) It makes working so much easier!

I considered that, but don't want to give that much desk space away, which is why I have a 22" widescreen instead - big enough to allow me to get things side by side when needed, but without the clutter when not.

I used it to host a VM to migrate exchange. Was a beast. Now I struggle to open my start menu without going in to a rage.
