Just sold two Gadget show tickets on ebay for double the amount I paid for them even though they are still available on the gadget show website for the original price! They also sold within the hour! I think it sounds too good to be true, is there a chance the buyer could say the tickets aren't in the envelope? And where do I stand if the buyer claims nothing was in the envelope?

Huge demand for these tickets, not selling mine!

I thought the tickets were electronic (sent by email), are you going to print them off and post them?

I suggest registered/recorded post at the minimum.

Definitely.

eBay will refund their money, and you will be out of pocket with no tickets. That's how it usually works if the buyer is dishonest. :(

I need a way to prove that the tickets went into the envelope.

I know the post office used to do it for documents (maybe they'll do tickets too?) Where you can pay, and they'll effectively sign as a witness for forms/IDs etc. Obviously got to pack it while there though.

Might be worth checking, if they got one locally.

Post office do document certification, which is basically a signed witness statement that what you say is in the envelope is in there, ive done it with tickets before and they attach a special certificate thing to the envelope and its send recorded delivery

Does anybody know what this service is called?

All i can say is the next time you try and go underneath someone to rip them off without even paying for the ticket in the first place then make sure you don’t advertise the fact publically!

I don't understand what you are getting at here?

Are you saying that the OP didn't buy tickets before he sold them on ebay, i.e got the money then went on the website and bought them? if that's is what you are getting at I don't think that's the case at all.

I do however hate ticket touts.

Went last year, it was really good, loads of expensive stuff though, so me and the other half played the "how many free pens can you get" game, ended up with 12 :) the live show was very good aswell. it is an exhausting day though!

I also went last year and allthough it was a good I have to say the super theatre show was ok I didn't think it was brilliant and having to pay to par was a nice kicker at the end of the day.
