Erm... Congratulations?

I think I'm going this year. I missed it last year, but our HT wants to take the IT Co-ordinator and myself. [He went last time and didn't stop talking about it.]

It means i can get out of my little hole, and actually see some equipment instead of default buying from RM.

Can you tell i never get to go anywhere???

A challenger appears!

I only go to 2 places.

Work and the area of "the comic shop".

For all intensive porpoises, I'm a hermit.

I have 2 months to get over my fear of downwards escalators.

OK so i did go to the RM technical seminars, and some share point training, but apart from that all i do is paperwork!! I need days out seeing equipment, not looking at it on web! Also get to use my food card thingy! always good!!

although training is classed as work- so work, home, and tesco's is about al i go to.

Corr you will be able to save shed loads of money!

Hardware wise, yes.

But considering that schools who buy from RM usually have RM support contracts too, contracts which only cover RM hardware, you either have an increased support cost to cover non-RM hardware or you need to fix all these things yourself.

As you're reporting it to RM you obviously can't fix it [Or don't have the time to fix it], so you're going to have to get someone in. [Or get overtime.]

It's swings and roundabouts.

We have a contract with our local Tech Services Team that covers all our hardware and stuff with plugs, they even fix rm stuff-- costs less than you would think. They take away fix, bring back, tell us what the fault was, then i have a go at said teacher!!

We have an RM contract plus an LEA one.

The RM guys are quick but always respond by sending someone out, even if I just want advice on something.

The LEA take a while and don't tell me what they did...

So, for porpoises that are less intensive you're not a hermit?

RM are a bit slow on the uptake here, but our LEA guys, leave me work notes saying what they have done,

if not, smile sweetly, act dumb, and they tell all!

I'm a 23 year old man with a beard.

Our LEA supplied contact is an older gentleman.

This is not a viable option for me.

Indeed.

To them I'm a pretty cool guy. I mess aboot with compooters and don't afraid of anything.

Also, I'm glad someone actually caught that.
