Which is exactly what you have just done with this post, well actually you seem to be making things up as you go along... This is a forum, where people discuss things. I have to read YOUR posts to successfully argue against your points. Therefore, your assertion that I don't have to read your posts is wrong! You don't have to read my posts, it clearly states my username at the beginning of each post. You don't have to argue with me. I am enjoying pulling your posts apart, as it shows a certain level of intelligence that, I believe, you can only aspire to. You're not pulling my posts apart, you are reading what you want to read and replying accordingly. 2 pieces of, quite breath-takingly insulting work there, j17! I'm sorry but no intelligent or civilised person could find that anything but offensive. Do you have any proof to back up that statement? I may find it funny because I am able to use my intelligence to separate fact from fiction and allow the ridiculous situation described make me laugh. I certainly find other offensive jokes funny for exactly the reason stated; jokes that other people may consider equally or even more offensive. I don't find it funny but neither am I offended by it; ergo you consider me to be unintelligent or uncivilised. at no point have I insulted anyone in this thread. By way of asserting that anyone who was not offended by the quoted joke is not intelligent or civilised you could well have insulted people. I personally did not find your post insulting because I don't care enough about your opinion; an opinion which you have potentially created based on my reaction to a joke. The only reason I cared enough to respond at all is because I wanted to help you understand how you (accidentally I hope) insulted people. If it was not accidental then you sir troll'd me good!

I personally like Jimmy Carr but sometimes I laugh because I can't believe what he's just said! I can't stand Gary Neville being a Sky Sports pundit but there'd be a shed load of people who would tell me he's great! If we were all the same, it'd be very boring. There'd be no banter, no competitions etc. Let's just agree to disagree 1

Separating fact from fiction. The events in the jokes told are not anecdotal, they are pure fiction. I for one love a bit of Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle, but consider myself a sympathetic, rounded human being.

Also, Racism/Homophobia stem from hatred of certain groups of people. Racist and Homphobic comments are made with the desire to hurt someone. This is a joke. Designed to be shocking, but not aimed at hurting anyone. Side note: Who decides what's racist? Are Black comedians racist because of their jokes. [black as in Back, not Black as in dark/black humour] And if not, why not? They make the same stereotypical comments. Side note the 2nd: Are "3 men walk into a bar" jokes sexist? Are you seriously saying that as long as someone doesn't say something deliberately to hurt someone, it doesn't matter if they do? What about the pandering to the racist/homophobic etc instincts of the people you are speaking to? I don't think that making stereotypical comments makes you racist, whatever colour you are. It just makes you ignorant. (*runs away*)
