Costume advice - Musicals

The staff are doing a "musicals" theme for Children In Need this year. Now I know pretty much any outfit has probably been a musical at one point "shrek the musical/batman the musical, etc" so i could shoehorn any in, i'd prefer something a little more precise.

Ideas at the moment for me are:

- Phantom of the opera (with mask and fake scarring on face)

- Oompah Loompah

- Willie Wonka

- Riff Raff from Rocky Horror Show (I'd love to go as Frank 'N' Furter but don't think the stocking and sussies would go down too well in a girls school

 

I want something that is a little different, but not too far from the normal "musicals" of Grease, etc.

 

Any ideas welcomed

Failing that:

 

The Wizard of Oz combined with Doctor Who, The Wizard of Ood?

 

You could find something the kids'll love and enjoy - then try to work that into something that is already there, creating a unique mashup they'll not forget.

I think Phantom or Cats are probably the easiest I'm afraid

At the mo I'm tempted by an oompah loompah most, purely for comedic effect when wearing the orange paint.
