Popular Post Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Popular Post Posted October 14, 2011 (edited) Hello Edugeekers, CP Ltd offer a Wee Collection and Recycling service for schools and businesses - and best of all, our service is completely free of charge. We understand the need for complete data security. All drives are cleansed of all data when they arrive in our premises as standard. These are done on “dumb” machines therefore the data is never viewed. The machines simply drop into destruct mode on power up. Our process irrecoverably destroys data and tests the drive at the same time. If any drive fails the binary level data destruction process it is physically destroyed. We are an Environment Agency fully licensed IT Recycling Company offering a TOTALLY FREE, safe and secure IT recycling service. • FREE collection and disposal of computers and I.T. related equipment. • FREE documented, secure data wiping and data destruction service. • FREE on-site visit to discuss your recycling needs. • NO minimum or maximum quantity requirements. ALL collections are FREE. We take away all old I.T./unwanted Electronic and telephonic equipment - all completely free of charge with NO minimum requirements. We collect all of the following items: • Desktop Computers • Printers • Electrical Appliances • Network Equipment • Telephones • Monitors TFT and CRT • Cables • Laptops • All Types of Electronic Equipment • UPS • Digital Cameras • Mobile Phones • Data Storage Devices We provide Duty of Care documentation and certificate of data destruction. If you would like to use this service please email us directly on [email protected] with a list of any items you have ready for collection. Please include your full address and postcode (and also any collection instructions, i.e. parking restrictions, items stored in particular area where there is no lift or awkward access etc.) Edited October 14, 2011 by Haptic 6
plexer Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 CP Ltd offer a free Wee Collection and Recycling service for schools and businesses - and best of all, our service is completely free of charge. I would hope that a free Wee Collection service would be free Ben
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Thanks for drawing attention to it Plexer - always appreciated It case anyone didn't get it the collection is absolutely 100% FREE WEEE all the way!
Oaktech Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 although, having said that, I've been offered a 'free' weee collection a while ago - which turned out to then have a chargeable pre collection survey to establish what they would and wouldn't take!
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Oaktech, I can assure you there is none of that here and now you have it in writing so can hold me to it! 1
RTFM Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Don't some suppliers actually buy old kit instead of just offering to pick it up and dispose of it for free?
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 In that case we aren't one of those either! Any more for any more?? To be honest we buy kit that has a resale value, but this service is not offering to buy kit that could be resold, we are offering to clear out anything you don't want and dispose of it safely. If you think it has a resale value then why would you include it for recycling in the first place?? I would probably try and sell it! Chris
teejay Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 (edited) You're taking the Weee..... Edited October 14, 2011 by teejay
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 We were at the start of the thread, but I don't know if we will bother now! ha Chris
cromertech Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 How far will you come to collect stuff? I've had someone come out to me from Anglesey before as long as I could guarantee him a Transit load. From Wales to Norfolk is an impressive trek for taking stuff away for free!!
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 Hello cromertech, It is a national collection service so we have no problems with Norfolk. How far will you come to collect stuff? I've had someone come out to me from Anglesey before as long as I could guarantee him a Transit load. From Wales to Norfolk is an impressive trek for taking stuff away for free!!
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 That would be weeeally good - we look forward to hearing from you. Weee may be contacting you very soon! Ta!
synaesthesia Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Any chance of a long haul trek to Wellingborough? We'll even make a cuppa to help sooth the feet after such a long drive! Seriously though, we will very likely be in touch once we've sorted out what's what!
Haptic Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 No problem at all just let me know when - and the cuppa sounds good especially after driving that far I will definitely need it! Any chance of a long haul trek to Wellingborough? We'll even make a cuppa to help sooth the feet after such a long drive! Seriously though, we will very likely be in touch once we've sorted out what's what!
nadeem Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 I'll be in touch soon, I've got loads of stuff scattered across campus I'm trying to consolidate and sort through. Just a quick question do you also collect photocopiers.
Oaktech Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 (edited) expect an email shortly... we've just been let down by a company who promised a free collection, got emailed a list of equipment and told us they wanted £400 to take it away as there was not a high enough proportion of resellable kit. also, do you take projector lamps for recycling?
