MK-2 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 The head wants to show this video in assembly tomorrow: About us - Cancer care and support charity - Macmillan Cancer Support The problem is the machine down there has no internet access at the moment and I can't get a way to download it. If anyone is able to get me a copy of it that would be great, as I'm stuck otherwise!!
Tricky_Dicky Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Have you tried emailing them directly? They would probably send it to you for the purpose you want it for. 1

laserblazer Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I know this isn't ideal but put a video camera on a tripod getting in as close as possible. I'll try and copy it with Camtasia for you but I'm not sure how successful that will be. 1

I'll try and copy it with Camtasia for you but I'm not sure how successful that will be. I did try with camstudio but the problem is it records every 5 ms....which for a video and audio isn't great! I might just have to risk playing it over wifi (which just about stretches there!)
laserblazer Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 In Camtasia Recorder, go to Tools Options Video and manually change the frame rate. I just tried it at 15fps and it seemed ok. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the sound to work and I haven't time to sort out the sound card settings at present. 1

I think I'll just have to chance playing it live over wifi and hope the signal holds out! wish me luck!
DAZZD88 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I know thi smight sound stupid, but can't you just download it on another machine and then pop it on a CD?

MK-2 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Have you looked on youtube? There are a load of other Macmillan videos that might do instead? I had a quick look. Unfortunately he wants this one, to show what Macmillan do, etc. So it has to be this video
laserblazer Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Amazing! I did a search on Youtube for exactly that title. I'll have to get a new computer.
MK-2 Posted September 29, 2011 Author Posted September 29, 2011 Is it not this one? Are you married? If not am I ok to propose? For some stupid reason I was looking on youtube for macmillan about us, not the actual title! Thank you
LeMarchand Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Are you married? If not am I ok to propose? If you'd been a few days earlier... I popped the question to (the now to be officially) Mme LeMarchand at the weekend. 1

sonofsanta Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 If you'd been a few days earlier... I popped the question to (the now to be officially) Mme LeMarchand at the weekend. Congratulations OP: now you've found it on YouTube, grab it with Video Download Helper for Firefox - normally works well for us (or did when we had to faff with that sort of thing, anyway)

mac_shinobi Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I normally use youtube downloader ( YouTube Downloader - Software to download and convert YouTube video ) Then you can get a usb flash drive and use portable apps ( vlc or some video player ) or even the msi / exe to install vlc or a video player of your choice to the PC
Arthur Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I normally use FastestTube as it's adds a download button below each YouTube video... http://i.imgur.com/nYP44.png
