Dos_Box Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Well, it seems the indian summer that was predicted for the UK has arrived. I've been trying to do a couple of vids with a voice over that involve me closing the office windows to remove external noise such as sandwhich vans playing tunes as they park up outside nearby offices. With the sun shining directly on my windows I last 2 mins before it gets to hot to carry on. Anyone else feeling the heat in their office yet?
Admiral208 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 What!!! You have windows in your office? What a luxury!! I dont have any in my converted toilet/cupboard.
benjie Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 It is never cold in our office! It is even hot in the winter, when there is snow outside. We do not have air-conditioning or a windows in our office! It is insane sometimes.
Hightower Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Office temps are fine, but man is it nice outside. Think I'll have to find a Northern League game to go watch tonight to enjoy it.
Pyroman Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Yup and my Air Con that was promised to me before the summer hasn't been installed :-( not enough money
LosOjos Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Baking hot here, no air con, the fan is just circulating hot air and the paper thin blinds are almost pointless.
Butters Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I'm sitting below a freezing cold air con unit so can't tell, I'll be popping out on lunch though and may go home and have a little sunbathing session before returning to the grind!

Dos_Box Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 Sunbathing? How very southern of you LOL. Sunbathing up here usually has the potential bathee asking themselves the essential question 'What coat should I take'?
FN-GM Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 It was nice and warm here today, love it when you walk to work wearing a pair of sunglasses. 1
Devontechie Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 it is fairly warm down here on the south coast
Dos_Box Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 It was nice and warm here today, love it when you walk to work wearing a pair of sunglasses. They're very liberal in Austrialia arn't they
featured_spectre Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 My office is at a nice 20c server room at 27c. Hardly ventured outside, no need anymore!! :-)
Earthling Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 27.5 C in our office......windows open, front door to the block open, office door open, gentle draught blowing through. Jacket off, shirt sleeves rolled-up, collar open, dead quiet, year 7 CAT's. Internet, MP3's on the mobile, coffee made....... This is how I dream my retirement will be.
CAM Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Just been outside and it is baking! Lovely day, makes the claims by the papers that it will snow in October look a bit silly.
Rydra Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Without kids, it's about 25 degree's in this classroom. With kids, that temp rises to 30+. 16 computers, 20 people and no air con isn't fun.
glennda Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Well i'm thankful i get to go outside from 2:30 as i coach the Year 9's rugby and we have a cup match!

witch Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Hot...so hot..headache and feel a bit sick - very small office - no windows, inadequate fan...Three computers, two servers. Will be walking the dog by the sea in a bit though - that'll be lovely
bondbill2k2 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 With our converted toilets housing both our office and server at least we have air con currently at 20C, I was just getting used to a temperature drop and brought a new coat last week then this happens! Short sleeve shirt all the way this week and refreshments in our fridge
Dos_Box Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 It's getting quite nasty in the EduGeek office ATM. I've got the window open and a fan on and it's getting very uncomfortable now. I can honestly say it's the best weather we've had all year!

Didn't you get the great weather around Easter/Royal Wedding up there in the North? Those were a great couple of weeks. I've be able to get the next two days as leave, so that's me catching some rays! Oh yeah, and it is glorious here, really warm, didn't want to come back in to the office after having lunch outside. sidewinder Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Our heating is stuck on, so yea its rather hot
broc Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Pleasantly warm today..... I spent 45 mins talking to our HT while she was on duty outside at lunchtime ..... with the added bonus that it was a great way to get some uninterrupted time to discuss some issues with her.
