LosOjos Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 I noticed in another post that someone from Promethean said the pro version can be registered on any machine connected to a Promethean IWB - is this a simple process or is it going to entail calling people and providing evidence of ownership?

I'm pretty sure that I used the existing ActivPrimary key - it was a long time ago, though. Certainly didn't have to call anyone - may have had to go through something online. 1

LosOjos Posted September 23, 2011 Author Posted September 23, 2011 Thanks all, tried acquiring the ActivInspire serial using our hardware serial on the website but it keeps saying it's invalid... don't know how we're going to find the software serial as the disc is long gone. Hopefully the personal edition does what the teachers need...

Hopefully the personal edition does what the teachers need... Don't know about the Studio version, but the Primary version displays the key if you maze your way to the "about" buried in the menu.

ActivInspire is the latest software from Promethean - in real terms, it is the "newer" version of Studio Primary. If you are updating from Studio Primary, then the upgrade is "free" to professional edition. In order to get a serial key to "unlock" Proffessional Edition, you would need either your hardware serial number (board) or current Primary serial number (This is available by clicking on Help -> About) If still having trouble, you could mail our support team via Prometheankb.com, providing them with your board serial number, and the Primary CD key, and hopefully they would be able to advise further.
