Adobe CS5.5 Deployed with AAMEE but now asking for serial number when launching. The only thing I can think I've done is update the default user. Tearing my greying hairs out here. Has anybody come across this before?

We are also having the same problem, we have used a different deployment method and are using windows XP unlike Andyrite, but we are having the exact same problem with our volume licensed CS5 package. When students log in it is asking for the serial number.

I think we had this recently, I think the serial prompt was fixed by adding some of the files adobe creates in the users profile to the default user profile.

I had to roll out 5.5 very late in the day, and had a similar issue after sysprepping the machine.

In the end I fixed it by deploying a script with the Adobe Licensing Repair tool (Or something similar). It's a little command line utility that I found on their website.

I've been tearing my hair out over this one for the last few days and found that it appears that Acrobat X deserialises the entire creative suite if it's run before any other licensed applications. See AAMEE 2.0 and AUSST 2.0 Live! « Adobe Installation and Licensing in the comments and Adobe Forums: CS5.5 Deserializes if you launch Acrobat Pro X

Still trying to figure out a way to fix this, but currently I'm thinking that not using adobe acrobat is the only way!

Try this:

Start > Computer > System (C:) > [ View Hidden Folders ] > Program Data > Adobe [right click, give all users & users full Permission] > this works for me.
