I think we're probably going to get some headphones with our vouchers - none of us can think of anything exciting to get with them (and everybody loves headphones, right?!)

Well it depends on your definition of 'loves'. If you mean 'enjoy snapping them or pulling bits off them' then yes. If you mean 'enjoy using them in lessons for educational purposes, other than listening to stupid MP3 streaming sites' then no... :p

It's strangely satsifying. I decided to smash some broken headphones at school today (I know, it's the holidays) - it was extremely therapeutic.

I think every ICT Network Manager should always buy about 10 more headphones than they really need, just so they can rip them to pieces and stamp on them. Maybe I've found the true reason for spending Tesco Vouchers!

If the headphones belonged to the kids then I'd jump on em as soon as possible... Hmm, thats an idea - the mobile phones that the kids hand in to the office :D They'd go through some good smashing action :p

Still, nothing is as much fun as drilling through a hard drive (especially when the hard drive catches fire as a result - I speak from experience), or taking a hammer to a CRT Monitor.

Tescos should supply old equipment for ICT staff to wreck - that would get the schools collecting.

Done that worn the teeshirt hehe

It's even more rewarding when there's a pupil wearing them hehe

Before I arrived at the school they had got a few RM pc's from this and they were horrible things

Its stupid because it gives you a PC that is completly different to what you currently have

Useless for secondary schools IMO unless you really have NO budget

Plus I dislike Tescos immensely and their whole scheme - you get so little for so many vouchers all it does it persuade people to spend more in their horrible shop

And if anybody *does* want some CRT monitors to smash up.. or to use for that matter, we've got several of the blasted things

Our school drama studio is underused, and so has slowly turned into a CRT graveyard. I had 30+ removed from school the other day, but more seem to have replaced them. I think there's a conspiracy going on!

I'm down to the last 5 CRT's in my school and I have enough TFT's to get rid of 4 :D Just gotta get one more then I'll be CRT free! We don't even have any TV's either! It is wonderful!

I'm slowly moving people away from TVs by showing them the power of the Projector (most acutally didnt realise you could hook up a VCR to a projector)
