Cheap Wahl job from Ebay to see whether it'd play nicely and sure enough it's pretty good.

just use some wahl wired clippers with no guard, works a treat. that's for when i'm lazy and don't use my straight razor.

I've got a Babyliss i-Trim Stubble/Beard trimmer. Great for me, as I most often sport a 'stubble' look, and setting the trimmer to 1mm and shaving away does the job perfectly.

I think this is the one I have, and for whatever reason, the battery is absolutely shot on it. Which is a pain, as when the charge gets low it really tugs at the hairs, and you often look a bit daft with only half your beard done.

Oh yeah, the battery sucks on mine - I charge it overnight to use the next morning. I get a full trim out of it but I suspect not for much longer. Think I may dismantle it, and replace the batteries myself with something a bit better.

If you are so inclined, open it up and have a look, chances are it'll have a battery pack similar to a cordless landline phone and you'll be able to get another one from maplin or similar for about £8-10.

IIRC, there are 2 cells soldered onto the PCB inside the case. Nothing fancy about the cells though, so desoldering and replacing should be simple.
