I haven't seen the new Transformers yet (and still undecided whether I want to), but why is it that three movies in, the armed forces still roll out with guns. Surely if this was meant to follow on from the previous movies, you would have learned that guns are ineffective.

To me it's like some sort of movie alzheimers; one minute you realise that guns have no effect on gigantic transforming robots, but then a few moments later you think that pulling a gun on it may just work.

I know it's all part of the action scenes, but it makes you wonder if anybody on set would ever just say "why are they firing a rocket at it, that didn't work in the past two movies why would it now?"

The same goes for many action sequels. Even though the thing you did in the first movie that failed, you try the same again here. I'd like to think if they ever made Independance Day 2 (or time to close Hollywood as it should be known) the aliens would rock up with the same ships and weapons, but just with their anti-virus turned on, or maybe their USB ports disabled. Your move America!

I'm thinking for the next transformers they have a better plot....like:

Transformers 4 : Who the f**k clamped me? or

Transformers 4 : I'm trying to save your planet is why I was doing 40 in a 30 zone, stick your 3 points up your a**e

I couldn't get into the first 2 Transformers movies.

All the boring parts take ages and the action part have the camera moving about so much you can't see anything.

Transformers got me within 30 seconds. When a film starts with Megan Fox in hot pants leaning over a motorbike seductively then I'm hooked.

i know what you mean, that bike was amazing.....thats what you meant right? right? hello? isn't it?

i guess i would just liked to have seen a reworking of the cartoon ones, like arrival from cybertron, and of course soundwave in the first movie would have done so much more to it....get laserbeak, ravage and rumble in the action :D

And that's the only reason I watched both of the films

Wouldn't that put them at a bigger disadvantage?

Loved the first Transformers, the second one was dissapointing. Will go and watch the third though.

I do always think of the "What if's?" of films, just imagine in Rocky if he didnt make the right weight for his fight....im sure he would be a bit gutted.

You might enjoy Jason Statham's gf's intro in the new one...

Saw the 3rd last night, quite enjoyable but not (for me) a "buyer". Wish I hadn't bothered with the 3D, which I rarely find adds anything (and try to avoid) but I thought that Michael Bay should be able to make good use of the format. No more 3D for me!
