Digital Blue "directshow error class not registered" Error 32

Hope everyone is enjoying their lunch

 

Having a little issue with Digital Blue software, V3 (lots of people get along with it, i personally hate it!)

 

error message on a Win7 x86 machine, relating to codecs. its Error 32, and is "directshow error class not registered"

 

Does anyone have any ideas or has seen this before?

 

i had already tried the klite pack, and found this Directshow Error 32 for the Digital Movie Creator 3.0

but that has also not resolved it.

as far as im aware it will install but not run on windows 7

I tried all sorts and couldn't get it to run on 7. It barely ran on XP.

I too am having the same problem, but i click ok and the program finishes loading and everything seems to be working ok

Not much help but our solution to everything Digital Blue has been - after many wasted days - bin it and buy something decent instead.

No way to get this working natively as far as I know - only way would be to run it in an XP virtual machine of some form.

 

I'd look at alternatives. Give this a try - Educators

 

A license for education for about 35 copies (a suite full), would be about £550. (They give a 35% discount).

 

Combine it with a simple webcam and you're cooking with gas.
