LeMarchand Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 ...that goes from the computer into the back of an older Promethean board? It's USB-A (male) at one end and what looks like a proprietary Promethean male connector the other. Midway along the lead is a junction into which goes a standard Promethean power supply.
witch Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Don't know but I expect one of our suppliers can get it for you!
plexer Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 All the usb leads I've seen for promethean leads are usb a to b but if it's a small black flat connector then it will have to come from promethean supplies. Ben
TRobinson Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 This sounds like the USB adapter for the 1st generation of ActivBoard - is this it? If so it is available via the PrometheanPlanet shop, it is also supplied with a Standard 5m cable.ActivBoard Cables (USB Cable for ActivBoard 75 1
LeMarchand Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 That's the fella! Will get someone to order one.
TRobinson Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Just keep in mind though that some of the very early first generations are "serial" only so if you are hoping to convert a system that has been previously used serially then its best to ask our support team if yours has the USB chip - they should be able to tell you this from the serial number. If it's simply to replace existing then Happy Days!
LeMarchand Posted June 17, 2011 Author Posted June 17, 2011 Long story, but it's probably a straight swap. Thanks for the advice, though!
