kennysarmy Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 Can I ask what OS and office version you are on? Maybe it's something to do with our Smartcache then....hmmmmm
Steve21 Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Can I ask what OS and office version you are on? Maybe it's something to do with our Smartcache then....hmmmmm W7 32bit, Office 2010. Personally it sounds like you're trying to login with SkyDrive or something silly. Might be worth clearing any logins you got. Steve
kennysarmy Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 well I have more important things to worry about but I cannot see why it's prompting - bleeding MS - does nt do it on google chrome.... and if you save it first then open you obviously don't get the prompt either

Strange. (habit never to open it online ) Steve
SYNACK Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 Prompts me too, Win7x32, IE, Office 2010. Could be something in the document itself like edit tracking or something that is requesting a live ID when it is opened from a remote location.
Marci Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 S'office 2010. All works perfectly without saving first here using IE on Win7 32bit and Off2007, WinXP and Off2007, & WinXP and OffXP with Off07 Compatibility Pack... have a look on the net for Office docs prompting for credentials, there's a lot of folks moaning about it.
