ifallon Posted May 18, 2011 Author Posted May 18, 2011 You don't test it before the exam window? Lesson learned I believe! HBJB we have exams for some subjects on a very varied timings and why would anyone tell IT there going to be having exams, on computers. So first we know is when it dosen't work. We do check it every holiday as matter of course.
Sam_Brown Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 We had the same issue with them not telling us or giving us about 6 hours notice. Fortunately for both of us they've learnt that if they don't tell us in advance chances are the exams aren't going to work! All it takes is a 30 second e-mail a few days before and it can save no end of trouble.

I make a point of asking the exams officer when the exams are and making him email me (I do this often as they schedule new ones without telling us). HBJB
timbo343 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Has anyone seen the update appear on their systems yet? I checked it the other day but no sign of it.
Sam_Brown Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I've instructed exams not to upgrade until after the exams to avoid any issues with upgrading the workstations! I think if you decline it once it doesn't pop up again until it's mandatory. That's the plan anyway. Chances are they'll find a way to screw it up and force us into upgrading everything 15 minutes before the next exam!
