sted Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 took me a few attempts (in the end i did it at daft am) but i could download the freebies is it just me or are downloaded games on ps3 much more of a faf than on the 360 where you just download and play ps3 required me to download then install then update

I got Infamous of the US store with US account, plus LBP and Dead Nation off EU store. Very impressed with Dead Nation. 1

You might not want it taking over your system at that time, although you might want to download it. If you tell the system to turn off after background downloading it'll install on shutdown.

(I missed the PC World offer because I thought I could select them then download them when I was ready to, how wrong was I! )

I think the movie rentals were only the weekend, but dont quote me. They are terrible films so no loss. @sted: Download in background, then when you shutdown there a tickbox that says 'shutdown after download complete' or something along those line. Do that and it'll install then shutdown. 1

RabbieBurns Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I dont see a download list there. I assume you mean the network tab from the main ps3 menu? If I go into the PS Store I can see a download list (top right, view downloads), but it doesnt give me a method to remove them.

Yes, I wrote that from memory as i wasn't near a ps3 at the time. Network tab > download management > find the item you wish to cancel > press triangle > choose pause/cancel from the menu.

computer_expert Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 are you sure you have stuff downloading from the store? If you do, then you should see the download management option between internet search and life with playstation. If you don't then it doesn't appear until a download is started
