Hi All,

I am working in a school with about 80 computers and I am trying to sort out arranging some new licensing. For now just trying to locate prices to see if the upgrades will be included in the budget for next year.

The licensing I am looking for is ~80 Windows 7 32 Bit and ~60 Office licenses. Looking on the Microsoft site I am not really getting any closer to what I need. So I am really looking for recomendations on what I need/where I should be looking at prices.

Many Thanks

Joe

microsoft licensing is a pain to get your head round - might be best to conact a specialist such as phoenix or ramesys - schools agreement are the easiest for schools and are cheaper now based on number of full time staff rather than machines - however you still need an operating licence with the original machine but can then upgrade to windows 7 or whatever with your schools agremment.

The EES scheme from Microsoft is pretty decent as described above by Maark. We took out our agreement through Misco and whole proceedure has been pretty smooth sailing. It's saved the school thousands in licensing costs.

^^Exactly as above, Misco were very keen on pricing - you may be on the threshold for EES saving you money, but it's worth a look. Count your FTE employees, and give your reseller a try.
