X-13 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 I hear blizzard/wow are going to introduce rift-like public quests. They must be worried! Blizzard were also looking into F2P MMO models. I wouldn't read too much into it.
X-13 Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 I've got a few days left on my first trial account, and I have to say I'm liking the synergy between Night Elf racial Shadowmeld and rogue stealth. Drop aggro with shadowmeld > stealth > as mob turns to walk away ATTACK!! I just made a Druid, thinking of going feral with it. Looks promising so far.

bondbill2k2 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 If thats what you want then do not play WOW, itis the most item centric MMO out, it's all and only about the gear you have. I used to play for a few months while at uni, I never played it hardcore only hour or two at a time and realy enjoyed it! Had 2 characters neither went to over level 60 but just took it easy and used teamspeak with mates who played it from uni (they were already addicts long before I played it) I had 2 months free from friend invites then going on to purchase the game and another month with the warcraft box set of the guide, game, addon and 1 month subscription (often on sale for around £15)

Add it to the account and get 30-days as a thanks for buying the game. You can't then sell it on because noone can register it.

the_quick Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I'm on the break for now , after around 5 years playing. X-13 be careful it is very addictive, I played in hardcore guild a year, my raid days were always about r4aid in the evening - so quick journey home from work, fast dinner - go in wow gather pots, bit of money here and there, do dailies for rep etc -> raid. Finished between 11 and midnight. Wife was not impressed . But was fun. But last half a year I barely played, so account frozen for now. I have played every single class fro some time, druid used to be great healer - easy to play with HoTs, and hunter used to be easy dps. it all have changed now after Cata and DK is quite nice and easy for casual player.

Plus I have another e-mail that I'm going to use for another 10 days. [That'll be my proper WoW login] I also need to get a better computer... ATM I'm running it on my laptop. It handles the lowest graphics setting with no problem, but when I move it up it lags like nobodies business. Custom built gaming PC FTW.

X-13 Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 I need to sort a new PC - my laptop is struggling on, but getting VERY hot! I'm looking at 1gb graphics, this, 16gb memory, 2tb HDD... The case I want has like 5 fans built in... but I may go down the water cooling route.
